Believe it or not, October 13 was announced to be the "International Day for Failure"! This day is marked by the goal of avoiding fear and changing the perception of failure as a learning opportunity and a way to improve one's own knowledge and ability.
Some have gone even further opening the “Museum of Failure” in Helsingborg, Sweden recently. Yes, you read that correctly – this museum celebrates failure. Normally, the guiding principle of a museum is to showcase the highest expressions of art, culture, and science. The Museum of Failure turns this idea on its head inviting visitors to feel better about the bad decisions they’ve made and find humour in failures seen around.
Society teaches us to avoid mistakes. But for creative people and innovators failures are essential as they direct them towards the way of success. You could even say that it's a vital part of our identity as fearless challengers. So for us in “ARé” fest. We're firm believers that only those who dare to fail miserably can ever achieve greatly. Let’s be more adventurous and spiritually daring, more willing to experiment, and more concerned with authenticity and genuineness than in externally defined success or failure.
Let’s fail together!!!
