While two brides are playing the piano in the auditorium scene, a nun tries to pray but slowly lets herself go. The performance ends with a conflict between the brides, who become allies to beat the nun. By confronting these two stereotypes of women, the author interrogates the Christian idea of the bride: the one marrying her beloved or the bride who gives herself to Christ.
